Wonderful Wednesdays festive specials!

11am every Wednesday 20th November – 18th December 2019

We’re continuing our series of totally FREE, fun, interactive community workshops for senior citizens with a string of exciting events throughout the festive season.

Join us in the store next to Greggs on the ground floor, from 11am every Wednesday to meet new people, make new friends and enjoy these fabulous, FREE activities followed by Chair Yoga from 2.30pm each week.

 

20th November: Christmas card making

Come and create your own Gelli plate printed Christmas card designs.

 

27th November: Tai Chi

Enjoy a gentle form of exercise, which is ideal for bringing health benefits to the older generation and those with limited mobility through very gentle stretching and moving.

 

4th December: Needle Felting

Come and create needle felt Christmas decorations including Christmas trees and father Christmas to take home for the festive season.

 

11th December: Ornament marbling

Have a go at marbling a variety of ornaments to create a unique and colourful gift.

 

18th December: Tai Chi

Every Wednesday: 

Chair Yoga

Enjoy a series of chair-based movements, beginning with gentle warming up movements, moving onto exercises that stretch and ease the muscles and joints in the back, shoulders, legs and arms. Each session will end with gentle toning work, followed by a deep relaxation to completely relax the body and mind.

Each session is completely tailored to the needs and abilities of those taking part.

 

‘Get on Board’

Basic Kneads are continuing their popular games club, offering participants the chance to enjoy special offers on food while playing a series of board games including Chess, Backgammon, Battleships and more.

 

Free hot drink

Carrs Pasties is offering senior citizens a free hot drink with any pasty purchased, every Wednesday.
