In 1992, Jane Moorehead began her work experience at Clarins in Debenhams, Market Place. 25 years later, she is now the Manager of Clarins at Debenhams and has watched both the legendary beauty brand and the shopping centre evolve for over two decades.
Jane’s job at Clarins was her first after studying beauty therapy at college, and she still sees many of the same regulars now as she did 25 years ago. She loves the Clarins brand, which is owned and run by the Courtin-Clarins family, and has been for over 60 years. “I’m very faithful to the brand – the products are brilliant!”
Since she started, Jane has seen the rise of many highly popular Clarins products, including the multi-award winning Double Serum – the only intensive anti-ageing serum rich in 20 plant extracts, each working to boost the skins natural functions. It’s also the best-selling serum in the UK – a unique claim to fame.
Having watched the shopping centre evolve around her, Jane is a big fan of the recent redevelopments at Market Place, particularly new dining and leisure venue, The Vaults. “It’s a great place to go for a drink or meal, and the atmosphere is incredible!”
With 25 years of service behind her, what’s Jane’s best memory? “It was very early on”, she says, “I sold the largest quantity of a new product and won a weekend away in Paris!”
Nikki Wilson-Cook, Centre Manager, Market Place says, “A huge congratulations to Jane Moorehead from all of us at Market Place. 25 years is an incredible milestone, and it’s a testament to the warm, friendly environment at the centre that Jane is still here. Clarins certainly wouldn’t be the same without her.”
