London Collection Men features the latest menswear collections from more than 60 designers. We’re here to tell you what men will be rocking this time next year!
Oasis’ favourite colour is back! The Burberry and Moschino shows used this trendy tone in their pieces while Moschino’s Jeremy Scott joined in with an army green polo shirt and cardigan combo.
Red will be big business next season. From burgundy to pillarbox, we saw a lot of variations of red during the shows.
Burberry’s collection was full of red pieces, mostly on outerwear including a quilted coat and trousers and a few tracksuit tops. Elsewhere, red reared its head at McQueen on a cropped knit, and on military-style jackets too.
THE BOUDOIR EFFECT
The underwear-as-outerwear trend has taken flight and filtered into menswear, with several collections showing looks reminiscent of the boudoir.
At Topman, a silk cappuccino coloured robe, styled with an oversized wool hat, looked like the coolest (and cosiest) outfit we’ve seen in ages.
The most luxurious fabric is back in a seriously big way. It was seen at nearly every show including Thomas Pink, Chester Barrie and Richard James. Topman couldn’t get enough of it, designing coats, trousers, suits and jackets from this fabric.
One of the key trends for next season is the cropped cut, accentuating the waist. Luckily it’s only January so we’ve got time to get trim!
At Topman, it was jackets in grey wool, shearling and double-breasted black leather that stopped short.
