Our very own Centre Manager, Nikki Wilson-Cook, was recently nominated for the Inspire Awards in the Businesswoman of the Year Category.
The Inspire Women Awards celebrate the huge wealth of outstanding contributions that women have made to Bolton and the wider area and shines a light on their achievements.
Nikki was nominated for her contributions to the Bolton community in her role as Centre Manager here at Market Place. During this time, she has kept the centre effectively trading throughout extensive redevelopment works, kept staff motivated and focused on their role within the centre and the wider community with knowledge, passion and a hands-on approach and she’s forged strong partnerships within the town. This leadership has enabled the centre and its staff to win multiple awards including Westgrove Industry Awards for ‘Service to the Customer’, ‘Outstanding Act’ and ‘Team of the Quarter’ for going beyond the call of duty during the centre’s redevelopment.
Through outstanding teamwork the centre also won a REVO Gold Award in the Refurbishment and Extension Category in 2016, a SOLAL Gold award in the Brand Awareness and (Re) positioning category in 2017, and a Golden Apple at the REVO Purple Apple Awards for its Mannequin Challenge in 2017. Nikki also won ‘Manager of the Year 2017’ at the Sceptre awards.
These actions have all gone a long way to transforming the perceptions of Bolton and putting it firmly back on the map.
When it came to the awards ceremony on Saturday 5th May, Nikki was awarded highly commended in the Business Woman of The Year category for her contributions to the community.
